Who Are You Waiting For?

aha moment jae m rang Jun 02, 2025

How is your decision-making power?  Are you one to decide quickly or someone who sits on the fence until either it’s too late or someone makes he decision for you?

Indecision isn’t always about the choice in front of you — it’s often about the trust behind it.

At some point, you may have been taught — directly or subtly — that your instincts were wrong. Maybe you “messed up” once (or twice) or choices simply didn’t turn out as you had hoped which maybe led to trusting your judgment. Maybe someone else questioned your choices so often that you stopped making them altogether and allowed another to take over.

My friend, Shawn, shared a story that hit this point hard. He admitted his inability to make confident decisions. “This pattern had kept me from rising in my masculine power and affected my marriage” Shawn said.  His indecisiveness was not because he didn’t care, but because he hesitated. Maybe he thought he was being careful or respectful, but what he didn’t realize was that his partner needed him to lead. “The feminine desires decisiveness in the masculine to make confident decisions that best serve her and their family’ Shawn adds, which left both of them feeling disconnected and out of sync. It’s not uncommon that the feminine will step into the role of decision-maker, not to dominate, but because someone has to steer the ship.

And what happens when you delay decisions?  Inaction or outsourcing?

Aha! ~ What are you waiting for? Who are you waiting for?

The greatest downside of indecision, beyond inaction, is outsourcing; believing that an authority – or anyone else – knows better. But here’s the truth: you’re the one living your life — no one else. And no one else can feel what you feel.

Not every decision will be perfect, and that’s not the point! The point is to decide anyway. And to accept that whatever the outcome, you trust that you can and will make a confident next decision to move yourself forward. The power isn’t in perfection, it’s in motion.

Bob Proctor recognized and often shared, “Successful people make decisions quickly then change their minds slowly if they do at all.”  Develop that decision-making muscle so you can flex it at will.

The more you choose for yourself, the more data you gather, the more confident you become and the more aligned your next steps will be. You don’t need to know everything. You just need to be willing to move.

Trust yourself first.
