The Fake Affirmation
Sep 15, 2025Do you ever wonder why repeating “I am abundant” feels flat when you’re staring at an empty bank account? Or why a goal card can start to feel like just paper in your wallet?
The problem is, if your affirmation says one thing and your current reality displays another, there is an emotional disconnect. And since your mind is driven by old programming, whispers that say, “That’s not true” may very well sabotage your best intentions.
But isn’t repetition the first law of learning and the ideal way to reprogram stinky thinking?
Aha! ~ Affirmations work when you stop reciting them as a stranger and start embodying them as truth.
Words are very powerful. Words carry an energetic vibration. Words cast spells (which is why we call it “spelling”). But without stepping into the vibration of the words, the spell fizzles out.
Energy follows feeling. If you recite words but vibrate doubt, the stronger energy wins hands-down every time. When you see, feel, and breathe the reality of your affirmation, your body and brain record it as truth. So, while the repetition lays the track, the vibration is the fuel.
Expectation is key, as well. You see, your Reticular Activating System notices what you expect. The moment you truly expect your affirmation to unfold, your brain filters the world differently, spotlighting the opportunities and pathways that bring it to life. Expect to get sick, you’ll get sick. Expect to be bullied, you’ll get bullied. Expect that everything is happening in perfect harmony at precisely the right time for you, the pressure is off and you flow in alignment.
That’s how Law of Least Effort comes into play here.
When you embody that affirmation, you no longer try … and … you no longer see challenges, setbacks, or problems. You begin to recognize that every aspect of what is unfolding is part of the learning along the path that takes you to your new reality. Powerful high vibes with no nagging doubt.
Your brain rewires through repetition, your energy amplifies through emotion, and your reality bends to your expectation. That’s not magic — that’s alignment.
Stop repeating your future. Start rehearsing it.
Bob Proctor’s goal cards always start with “I am so happy and grateful now that … “ and mine always continue with “….that I have perfect health…” before I expect even more. I AM all by itself sets the tone. We’ll talk “abundance” in Human U this week. Join us?
