Growing a Money Tree
Oct 13, 2025Have you ever turned down an opportunity because it just didn’t feel right—even if it paid well? Perhaps you’ve taken a smaller pay cheque because the mission aligned or you were treated with respect. What about those moments when you helped someone, expecting nothing in return, and somehow everything in you felt richer afterward?
Can we simultaneously feel like we’re doing more yet not doing enough, pushing for a higher balance in our bank account feeling like the balance of life toppling?
Aha! ~ People over profits
Sometimes the things that don’t add to your bank account, add the most to your life.
Of course, it’s essential to meet our basic needs—food, shelter, safety, stability. That’s the foundation of Maslow’s hierarchy (and “people” starts with you) But once those are met, life invites us to grow well beyond self-preservation as it’s in our nature to always be expanding.
And money is neutral – it’s energy – it’s simply a tool. So, from an energetic perspective, chasing money out of fear or ego, puts you in a low vibrational state. From a biological standpoint, it triggers stress hormones that keep you in survival mode and blocks creativity and flow.
By focusing on amplifying our unique gifts and talents, then being in service with those abilities, we contribute, connect and start the flow. We release oxytocin, serotonin and dopamine – the “feel good” neurotransmitters that literally recharge. That’s psychic income; the currency of joy, meaning and fulfillment that opens the flood gates to abundance.
The goal card is critical to giving purpose and meaning to life – if you desire it then it’s in your DNA to achieve it - ironically, though, when we serve from this higher place, abundance follows naturally. The law of reciprocity, both spiritual and psychological, ensures that what we give returns amplified. You see, the saying, “The love of money is the root of all evil” focuses on the “love” of money not the acquisition of money. You can do more good being rich than you can poor.
Money is your slave not your servant. When you climb the pyramid toward self-actualization, true wealth is no longer measured in accumulation, but in alignment—how well your daily actions reflect who you really are.
When people come first, profit naturally follows because energy always flows where love leads
